Science for Life is a large research and agricultural fair promoted every two years by the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, Embrapa. The event is organized in Brasilia, Brazil, in cooperation with universities, public agencies, private companies, state representations, international research organizations, and others. Science for Life has a trade show format and makes use of multiple types of expositions, lectures, technical stands, cultural events, culinary workshops , business events, among others.
This 7th edition of Science for Life will run from April 24 to May 2nd, 2010. This year´s Fair will feature the 37th anniversary of Embrapa, the 150th anniversary of the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply, and 50 years of the inauguration of Brasilia, the capital of Brazil recognized as a World Heritage site.
Many new agricultural products and processes developed by Embrapa and its partners will be launched during the event. Also, a Technology Showcase will feature live displays and stands showing research results and their impact in agriculture and people´s lives. This year´s showcase will feature the triad research, education and environment, presented in artistic and creative ways.
